What’s happening…
Today we welcome The Rt. Rev. Don E. Johnson, Bishop of West
Tennessee, for the baptism of Cormac Ferrell. Also we will celebrate with
Broderick Greer his forthcoming entrance to seminary on this day. There will be
a reception for the Ferrells and for Broderick in the Parish Hall following the
10:30 a.m. service. We hope you will all join the celebration.
A
Newcomers/Inquirer’s/Confirmation Class will resume June 3. This class will
meet each Sunday May 13 and 20th and each Sunday in June in the
Saint Luke’s Library at 9:15 a.m. In this course we’ll discuss the Sacraments
and their meanings, church history, along with the origins of the Episcopal
Church, the way that we approach this Christian faith of ours, and what
difference it makes to you. Everyone is welcome, you don’t have to be new! It’s
not too late to join this class so if you are interested, please join us June 3rd.
Saint Luke’s week to serve at RIFA will be June 4 – June 9 to serve lunch to those less
fortunate than ourselves. This is a rewarding way to represent Saint Luke’s
outreach ministry and to serve your community. Please sign up in the narthex or
on the bulletin board outside the parish office. You may also call to find out
the times needed and sign up.
The Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church
Women will have the June “Summer Reading
List” meeting on Monday, June 11th at 5:30 p.m. at the home of Pat
Craig. Please bring a salad to share, reading recommendations, and ideas for
the Fall Fundraiser! All ladies of Saint Luke’s are invited to this fun
get-together. If you have any questions please e-mail Janie Giles Carp at janiecarp87@gmail.com.

by Gene Davenport meets each week at 7:00 p.m. We are now studying 1
Corinthians, Chapter 8 and all of you are invited. The class is in discussion
formant and is not a lecture.
The Wednesday Morning Bible Study led by Dr. Brady Whitehead is on break for the
summer. Classes will resume after Rally Day.
The Upper Room Class will go
on summer hiatus after May 20. There will be no adult Sunday school starting
the weekend of Memorial Day. We will resume on Rally Day in the fall, when we
will begin a study of comparative religions. Our study will be centered on
